Rose grows soybean, tomato, maize, groundnut, sweet potato, and cassava on her 4 acre farm. A widow with five children, she is a successful farmer, entrepreneur, and employer, despite battling significant crop diseases and pests, including soybean rust, Striga and Fall Army Worm on maize, tomato bacterial wilt, viruses of groundnut and cassava, and bacterial diseases of bean.
